Proper base preparation is the most critical factor in asphalt longevity. We excavate, grade, and compact a granular base layer suited to the anticipated traffic load before a single ton of asphalt is placed. This prevents premature settling, rutting, and base failure that plague improperly installed surfaces.

From isolated pothole patches to mill-and-fill overlays on large commercial lots, our repair work uses the same quality hot-mix asphalt and compaction methods as new construction. We identify and address the underlying cause — whether drainage failure, base weakness, or traffic overloading — to prevent the same damage from recurring.

Crack repair involves routing or cleaning the crack channel, removing loose aggregate and vegetation, and filling with appropriate material based on crack width and movement. For structural cracks (wider than ¾ inch or caused by base failure), we remove and replace the affected pavement section entirely before the damage spreads.

According to the Federal Highway Administration’s Pavement Preservation Guide, crack sealing applied at the right time can extend asphalt pavement life by 3–8 years and is consistently among the most cost-effective preservation treatments in the pavement management toolkit.
